“The most amazing vegan food and friendly staff! It was the perfect comfort food, with so many options. I was passing through Seattle from Portland. Worth it to go back to Seattle to eat there.”

Poised boastfully on the corner, this vegan restaurant has established a new benchmark in the culinary art! The food was impeccable, literally every bite. I wish I could try every option on the menu. Vegan or not, highly recommend! The atmosphere is top tier, very open and bright!

Classy and classic vegan diner, highly recommended. Best fries on the planet, fight me. All the omelettes are amazing and are made with Just Egg. The pancakes and waffles are scrumptious. The TLTA is exquisite, the best in the city. Mimosas and vodka slushies are available too. Awesome dessert options.

I got the veggie omelet with chimichurri and mushroom gravy on the side as well as a strawberry lemonade. The staff was super friendly and the food arrived in a decent time. It was very fresh, generously portioned, and so delicious. I'm not vegan, but I didn't feel like I was missing anything in this meal. It was incredible. If there were restaurants like this closer to where I live, it would be so much easier to go vegan.I loved every bit of it and will come here before pretty much anywhere else whenever I'm in Seattle.

I flew into Seattle and was excited to try this vegan restaurant I had heard so much about, and wanted to get some nutritious food for me and my dad after a long flight. I want vegan restaurants to succeed, so I hate to write this review, but I expect vegan restaurants to hold themselves to the same high standards as anywhere else where you’d pay $19 for a breakfast dish. My experience was extremely disappointing because my dad’s sunrise omelet had a completely inedible rotten avocado on it. How did someone cut that avocado open and not see a problem, then continued to slice it, assemble it, and serve it? If they’re serving this food they’d clearly never eat themselves, it makes me wonder else is going on in the kitchen that may be unacceptable.Edit: I apologize that my review triggered defensiveness from the owner. That was not my intent. However, it is silly to think that other vegans aren’t familiar with what a rotten avocado’s black striations look like vs a warm avocado that has sat out and turned brown. Funny thing is, we ate this food in the parking lot immediately after picking it up. It could have sat out for a maximum of 20 minutes while we were on the way to pick it up. Let’s hold each other to high standards and be accountable when they’re not met.

Photos, video, and a detailed caption will not be enough for me to explain how AMAZING this restaurant was! So far, my favorite restaurant that I’ve ever visited outside of Texas. The amount of food I ordered was enough to feed 4-5 people, and I ate 98% of it (Took the 2% with me back to my hotel room). And let’s not forget about the ambiance at Wayward Vegan Cafe - it’s cozy, inviting, and perfect for a relaxed breakfast date or brunch with friends. So if you’re ever in this part of town and looking for an unforgettable vegan breakfast experience, make sure to pay a visit to Wayward Vegan Cafe. Trust me; your taste buds will thank you!@theveganvegeta

I absolutely love Wayward! In my opinion, Wayward is one of the best vegan restaurants in Seattle! My wife and I are both vegetarian and really enjoy the restaurant. The atmosphere is very casual and laid back. The staff is really nice and friendly and they provide good service. The food is really good. I had a waffle and the Albuquerque crunch wrap. They were both cooked to perfection, fresh, and delicious. They had an amazing taste and didn’t even taste vegan. They also gave some alcoholic beverages available as well.I highly recommend wayward if you are vegetarian or vegan or just looking to try plant based food. They are absolutely delicious and worth the visit! We are repeat customers for a reason!

Dinner experience :The eatery boasts an unpretentious, fast-food ambiance. The interiors are modest and casual, reminiscent of your standard quick-service joint. The menu champions vegan versions of American classics. The wraps, packed with vegan protein, offer a decent bite for those seeking a meat-free munch. Its texture and flavor do a commendable job in replicating the meaty essence, though the overall taste was just satisfactory for my palate. This spot serves as a decent option for vegans craving American fast food. While it might not blow you away, it's a solid choice for a quick, cruelty-free bite.

We flew to Seattle from Portland Maine. We stopped by Wayward Vegan after months of reading the menu. Portion sizes were huge. I had the Chico Vegan Melt. It was fantastic the fried chiggen was the best I have had to date. My wife had the club. Another well done sandwich. We had the cinnamon roll for dessert and we waddled to our next flight we were so full. All the staff were fantastic. Our waiter, Devin was fantastic. He was engaging and friendly. I would 100% come back here on our next trip to Seattle.

Cute place with nice local art on the walls. Staff was very friendly and polite. Cocktails were tasty. The hot honey drumsticks were delicious, we added hot sauce for extra spiciness. The Migas was delicious. The CA Crunch wrap was good but needed hot sauce for extra flavor. Everything tasted fresh and was good. Portions are big. We should’ve split something because we left half of the entrees behind

Absolutely adore the wayward vegan in Seattle! I first came here in 2019 with my brother and sister and it was such a lovely find. Came back again in 2023 with my mom and sister and it's just as magical as I remember. The menu is a bit bigger than I remember it being but still had the classics. Extremely delicious food and the atmosphere is so cozy and open - we had the pleasure of sitting upstairs this time and it was great! Our server was so kind - he was attentive and made great convo with us. Had the best sandwich and literally THE SMOOTHEST coffee ever...When I'm back in Seattle again, I'll make sure to stop by 💕

We've only been here under new ownership, so I don't have anything to compare. We've been here a few times and thoroughly enjoyed the good food and friendly customer service. We love coming here for breakfast knowing we'll have a great time, and eat delicious vegan food. We don't know their names but the male servers on Saturday and Sunday opening shifts are Our favorites are the chick'n and waffles and the migas plate. My only suggestion is to maybe add a build-your-own omelette option!

I love coming here, it’s one of my all-time favorite spots. Everything I’ve had is delicious, their tofu scramble, chicken and waffles, Belgian Benedict, and popcorn chicken are some of my recent favorites, but we’ve never been disappointed by anything we’ve ordered here. Service is always helpful and friendly. Having access this fully vegan restaurant is such a privilege, very thankful for everyone who makes this place possible. I highly recommend you try it out, vegan or not!

I've been looking to try vegan chicken and waffles for years, so I was really excited to try it at Wayward. It was really good! You'll notice from my picture that I got pretty into it before I remembered to take a picture! :)We also recently really enjoyed their country fried steak and biscuits and gravy - it was all pretty darn good! Their tempeh bacon is a favorite for me!I hadn't been here in years - I went a few times probably 5-6 years ago and enjoyed it then too. I just moved back into the area and was excited to try this place again. I feel like it's even better than it was when I went here years ago.Presently they are still set to pickup/delivery only. They don't do door dash -- bummer for me since we got dash pass and most of our favorite places are on door dash, so we opt to call in our order and pick it up. I do really appreciate that they send text updates when your order is ready for pickup. Everyone I have talked to there has been friendly and helpful. They have gotten our order right every time, and they have been right on with their timing estimates. We're fans of Wayward in my home, and we're pretty excited to live close enough to order from here more often. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to try vegan versions of their favorite breakfast items or American style foods - it will fill your craving!

Visiting from CT and we stumbled across Wayward, I know some reviews are hit or miss but everything was SO good. I've been vegan for 7 years and my boyfriend is not but even he loved his food! Was super warm and fresh and seasoned well. Give it a shot!

This is our new favorite restaurant! The food is delicious! And they have a huge menu! They are only pick up orders right now. we ordered online and picked up. parking is difficult but not impossible. There is a small parking lot in the back but the lines are faded so the spaces between the cars are not all big enough for you to park. We were lucky and someone left and we got their spot. The staff is friendly. We got the biscuits and gravy combo and it was amazing! The biscuits and gravy have so much flavor! We also got the chicken sandwich with bacon cheese fries and it was amazing! We shared a pancake that was so good too. We ordered a cheesecake but they forgot to put it in the bag so I called and they refunded us. We will definitely be coming here often while we're in the area!
